Laura Daisy was born in Selma and raised in Linden, Alabama. Her love for reading began in elementary school and soon grew into a love for writing in middle school. In middle school, she had her first poem published in a scholastic journal. In 2008, Laura graduated as Valedictorian from Linden High School and entered Alabama A&M University studying political science and minoring in philosophy. Laura graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2012. She later attended the University of Alabama Huntsville and received a second bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts. Laura obtained a master of science in Human Resource Management from Troy University in May 2019 and currently serves as a Human Resources Specialist on Redstone Arsenal. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

  

It is Laura’ s hope that the adventures she shares with her sons will inspire and encourage parents to go on adventures of their own with their little ones. She also hopes that her books will boost reading with primary-aged children.
